CURRENT SERMON SERIES

The early missionary/apostle, Paul, said that anyone who is in Christ is a new creation. In saying this, Paul was telling anyone listening that, in Jesus, something long hoped for had finally arrived. The presence of Jesus in the world meant that the old ways of the world were coming to an end and the ways of God were emerging once again. No longer would hardship, sickness and death be in charge… but a new day had dawned and a new way to fullness of life was made possible… not by eliminating what was there, but by renewing what was there. In this series, we’ll explore what it means to live and experience “new creation life.”

LIVE IN GOD'S WHOLENESS

Habits for Life
The practices we keep in life shape and form us along the way. Being intentional about those practices allows us to hold agency over who we’re becoming. Without intentionality, we simply drift in whatever direction the winds of our world want to take us. We’re choosing to engage in spiritual practices that enable us to be and become the men, women and children God designed us to be.

The habit for May and June is Examen Prayer. The prayer is primarily a reflection on your most recent day. It engages our hearts and minds in building self-awareness. And, through Examen prayer, we grow in awareness of the presence and work of God in our lives - training ourselves to be guided by the Spirit.

Prayer Ministry
Any need whatsoever we are happy to pray with and for you, we have a team of people on Sunday mornings who are happy to pray with you for any need you may have. Feel free to come to the back of the auditorium during worship to receive prayer.

WALK WITH GOD'S PEOPLE

Small Groups
Small groups at Vineyard are our frontline of support through life’s joys and challenges. They gather on a regular basis to care, encourage & pray for one another, while also studying scripture and going deeper with God together. Sign up here.

Stewardship
Support the financial health of your church family by giving to the work (supporting small groups, providing for youth and children’s relational/spiritual needs, making way for weekly worship, enabling our partnerships in the city and much more). Donate today and prayerfully consider becoming a regular, generous giver.

Virtual Worship & Church Life
Tune into our Youtube channel on Sunday mornings (or, catch up later).

TRACKING OUR FINANCIAL HEALTH

Benevolence
Find yourself in financial need? Need a little help to get through a difficult stretch? If you’re regularly engaged in the life of our church community, we want you to know that Vineyard has an annual benevolence fund with dollars dedicated to supporting our church family through those difficult days. Pray for Your Five
Do you have friends and family or acquaintances and neighbors who you just know are having a rough time right now? Consider doing the friendly/neighborly thing and pray for them. Pick 5 people, write their names down (somewhere you’ll see regularly) and commit to pray (quickly or extensively) on a regular basis for them - for whatever you know they’re struggling with, for them to find a lifeline in Jesus and for opportunities to be the hands and feet of Jesus to them.

Want to help our city?
If you’re able and willing, take a look at some opportunities to physically serve:
  • To support and care for some of our most vulnerable (older adults), go to JABA for a variety of options
  • To meet the needs of those living in the crisis of homelessness, consider volunteering with our partner shelter, PACEM.
  • To care for and cultivate the next generation - mentor or tutor children and youth in our city with Abundant Life
