3/15 Imaginative Prayer Lab
For the lent season (and a bit beyond), our Vineyard Church family is practicing imaginative prayer, focused on the life of Jesus. Imaginative prayer is a way to bring our God-given imagination to the scriptures and using both to move closer to God.

If you’re interested in learning more and trying this practice out in community, join us for our Imaginative Prayer Lab: Sunday, March 15th, 1:30pm at the Upper Room at our church office. Contact Jim with questions.

2/28 Women’s Night
Save the date for a night of fun and fellowship with other Vineyard women! We’ll gather for dinner on Saturday, February 28th at 6pm at the church office. Please bring a soup, side dish, or dessert to share. For more information, please contact Tosya.

3/1 Sewing & Craft Group
Vineyard’s sew and craft group will meet on Sunday, March 1, 12:30-4:30pm, at Carissa Phillips’ home. All are invited to share in the joy of creativity! All types of fabric-based crafts are welcome, and no experience is required.

We will begin the group with a potluck style lunch and share what projects we are working on. Plan to bring all notions, supplies, and equipment needed to work on your project. If someone does not have a specific project, we can all collaborate on other projects brought to the group. Contact Martha Adekunle with questions.

3/24 Nehemiah Action
Every year, our Vineyard family works with other faith communities around Charlottesville to seek just solutions to local problems that carry an outsized impact on the most vulnerable in our area. You’re invited to join us for the Nehemiah Action: March 24th, 6:30-8:00pm at Charlottesville High School. At this event, we’ll push our elected officials to make changes in issues affecting “the least of us” in Charlottesville: affordable housing, public transportation, and neighborhood safety. Join us and over 1,000 people of faith from around Charlottesville to use the tools afforded by our democracy to advocate for justice.

4/25 Barnraising - Save the Date In 19th-century America, rural communities came together for a “barn raising” to construct a barn for a community member in just one day. On Saturday, April 25th, we are coming together as a community for a Vineyard Barn Raising: one day of service for each other and our friends/neighbors who need help with projects around the house. Save the date for a day of service that is sure to be filled with love and laughter as we see how much we can accomplish together!
