7/1-7/15 The Wisdom of Your Body book study
Whatever the reason, many of us don’t feel at home in our bodies. Maybe we grew up in families or cultures that taught us that our bodies are objects, meaningless, dangerous, or never good enough. But being disconnected from ourselves as bodies means being disconnected from many of the ways that we can interact with God, each other, and ourselves.
If you want to learn more about reconnecting with your body, consider joining our discussion of The Wisdom of Your Body by Hillary McBride. The discussion group will meet on Wednesdays, July 1 through 15, from 6:30–8:00 at the church office. Please get the book and read chapters 1 and 2 before the first week. Contact Emily Merricks with questions.
7/12 Vineyard 101
We recognize the fundamental human need to belong… to be needed and to need others. This is especially true in our journeys with God, who calls us all to belong to him by not only loving Him, but by caring for and meeting one another’s needs. At our Vineyard 101 class, you’ll learn what it means to belong to the Vineyard family… to be an essential member of our church family and you’ll have the opportunity to become a steward-member here. So, join us on Sunday, July 12th, from 12:30-2:30 at the church office (1110 E Market St, #1-T). Lunch will be provided.
