Weekly Happenings

7/12 Vineyard 101
We recognize the fundamental human need to belong… to be needed and to need others. This is especially true in our journeys with God, who calls us all to belong to him by not only loving Him, but by caring for and meeting one another’s needs. At our Vineyard 101 class, you’ll learn what it means to belong to the Vineyard family… to be an essential member of our church family and you’ll have the opportunity to become a steward-member here. So, join us on Sunday, July 12th, from 12:30-2:30 at the church office (1110 E Market St, #1-T). Lunch will be provided.

7/19 Words & Worship
Our biannual Words & Worship service is coming up on July 19th! Come prepared to share and celebrate with our church family and reflect on all that God has done in 2026 so far. As an encouragement to others and a witness to God’s goodness, bring a story, no matter how small you think it may be, of something God has done in or through your life.

As we celebrate Vineyard’s 20th anniversary, this Words & Worship service will include some special reflections from former Vineyarders about how God has worked through Charlottesville Vineyard over the years. You won’t want to miss it!

8/15 Open Mic
Many of our congregation's God-given abilities don't get to be featured on Sunday mornings, so we're planning an Open Mic event where people share short (5 minute) expressions of giving glory to God in creative ways. These could be poems, spoken word, rap, songwriting, playing an instrument, dance, sharing a piece of art, or anything else you can do behind a microphone! They also don't need to be explicitly Christian. God has made it, so it gives glory to God :) This is a chance to share something that you love and enjoy with the congregation regardless of ability level and be met with nothing but encouragement and support.

The event will be Saturday, August 15th at 6:30pm. Contact Jeremy if you’re interested in performing!

8/12 Sewing and Craft Group
Vineyard’s sew and craft group will meet on Sunday, July 12, 12:30-4:30pm, at Carissa Phillips’ home. All are invited to share in the joy of creativity! Plan to bring a potluck dish for lunch and all notions, supplies, and equipment needed for your project. Contact Martha Adekunle with questions.
