Weekly Happenings

4/3 Good Friday
On Good Friday, we remember Jesus’s death on the cross. Join us for a reflective time of prayer and worship: Friday, April 3rd, 5:30-6:30pm at Woolen Mills Chapel (1819 E Market St)

If you’re able, come early (4:45-5:15pm) to join us in praying for the friends, family members, and coworkers whom we are inviting to church on Easter.

4/5 Easter Picnic
On Easter Sunday, we celebrate Jesus’s resurrection! Join us on April 5th for a joyous Sunday service, followed by a picnic at the Harris home. There’ll be good food, good friends, and an Easter egg hunt for the kids. Sign up to let us know how you can help with the party!

Barnraising - Call for Volunteers
In 19th-century America, rural communities came together for a “barn raising” to construct a barn for a community member in just one day. On Saturday, April 25th, we are coming together as a community for a Vineyard Barn Raising: one day of service for each other and our friends/neighbors.

Volunteers will meet at Tall Oaks Elementary on Saturday morning at 8:30. From there, we’ll go in small groups to work on projects. We’ll have a Hospitality Crew who will stop by each project with some refreshments and motivation.

If you are ready to sign up, fill out this short form so we can understand your needs and interests (remember - everybody gets to play!):

Baptism
Jesus's final instructions to his followers was to go out into the world to make disciples, then baptize those individuals. Anyone who has made a decision to put their faith in and follow God is urged to reinforce and make that decision known through water baptism. If you're interested in being baptised, your church family wants to make it happen and celebrate with you! Our church is hosting a baptism class on Sunday, March 29, 2:30-3:30pm at the church office and a baptism at our Easter Sunday party. If you're unable to join the class, Pastor Jim is happy to find a time to meet with you at a different time. Either way, contact Jim.
