series: Fruit of the spirit
Most of us have been asked those fun, conversation starters, like: What kind of animal would you be? What superpower would you choose? They’re great for laughs and learning about your friends. What about the question: If you were a tree, what sort of fruit would you grow? That’s the question the apostle Paul addresses when he writes to the churches in Galatia (eastern Turkey) 2000 years ago. Though Paul, true to form, is not treating this like a fun conversation starter, but as a deeply insightful observation about human nature. The fruit of the Spirit are nine inward realities that express themselves outwardly from hearts and minds captivated by God. Join us this summer as we explore these fruit and what we can do to cultivate them in our lives.
